Frederick Adventist School is a Christian school located in Frederick County, Maryland serving families throughout the Washington DC and Baltimore Maryland metropolitan areas, West Virginia, Northern Virginia, and Southern Pennsylvania. Academics We focus on academic excellence - striving to help each student learn and reach their true potential. We also offer educational field trips, hands-on learning, foreign languages, outdoor school, study tours, and educational fairs to help students learn and retain more. Spiritual Growth The core of our philosophy is education through Jesus Christ, including daily worship, prayer and Bible instruction. Students study the Bible and teachings of Jesus in order to understand basic Christian principles. |

Physical Education and Athletics We believe that a healthy mind and a healthy body go hand in hand. Our curriculum includes physical education, including training for the President's Council on Physical fitness, exercise, and team sports. |

Science and Technology More than ever, science and technology are important parts of a well-rounded education. We offer multiple resources, including computer instruction, and SMART board technology in every classroom, that allow students to benefit from current technology. We also offer a weekly Hands-on- Science class for each grade. |

Art and Music In addition to regular study programs, we provide instructional time devoted to Art and Music Appreciation. The Arts Attack video instruction program is taught beginning in Kindergarten progressing through 8th grade. Our music program includes two vocal choirs and a hand bell choir. |

Extracurricular Activities The lessons learned in the classroom and at home can be put into practice through after school activities and athletics. These include LEGO club, guitar, Christian drama, and interscholastic athletics like basketball and soccer. The after school opportunities teach valuable life lessons and allows the student to develop and use his or her God given abilities. |
